Copa Airlines recognized as the most punctual airline in Latin America for the 11th time, ranking first in the Americas and second worldwide

We are very proud to have been named Latin America’s most punctual airline for 2025 by Cirium—for the 11th time already! We achieved a 90.75% on-time performance rate, the highest in the Americas and second worldwide, alongside a 99.8% flight completion rate, the lowest cancellation rate in the region.

We continue to operate our network of 85+ destinations across 32 countries in the Americas and the Caribbean, including our new services to San Diego, Salta, Tucumán and Los Cabos with which we started in 2025.

Additional 2025 achievements include “Best Airline in Central America and the Caribbean” and “Best Airline Staff Service in Central America and the Caribbean” from Skytrax, APEX Four Star Airline status, and a Webby Award Honoree recognition for the Copa Airlines App.

At our hub Tocumen International Airport, the on-time performance exceeded 93%, ranking highest among medium-sized airports globally, reflecting strong operational coordination across stakeholders.

Update to the EMD Catalog

Please be advised that effective January 29, EMD 98F has been disabled as a form of payment for penalty fees in all GDS environments.

Going forward, travel partners must issue EMD 993, which aligns with the current industry standard for penalty fee processing. This update has been implemented to ensure greater consistency across systems, streamline processing, and reduce the risk of rejection or debit memos resulting from the use of incorrect EMD codes.

We kindly ask all ticketing and servicing teams to review their internal procedures and update any automated scripts or workflows accordingly. Please also ensure that frontline agents are informed of this change to avoid disruption to bookings or delays in servicing.
