42 Steigenberger Hotels, ten IntercityHotels and the Jaz Amsterdam have received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Several restaurants operating under the Deutsche Hospitality umbrella brand have also been officially rated as excellent.
The Certificate of Excellence is awarded on the basis of feedback provided by travellers on the TripAdvisor Portal. The responses posted indicated that guests felt very much at home when staying at a Steigenberger or IntercityHotel in Germany and also particularly enjoyed their experiences in Egypt, Belgium, the Netherlands, Oman, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Tunisia.
Certification was achieved both by new hotels such as the Steigenberger Hotel Stadt Lörrach and by more traditional properties including the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe in Dresden. The OLIVO Restaurant, a linchpin of the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin in Stuttgart, was also delighted to be given the same accolade only a short time after welcoming its new Head Chef Anton Gschwendtner, who gained a Michelin star in Vienna at the start of the year and went on to be named as “rising star of the year” in the 2018 Rolling Pin Awards.
A Certificate of Excellence is awarded to recognise particular hospitality and is conferred on companies all over the world that constantly attract outstanding traveller reviews on the TripAdvisor website.
“Service quality and guest satisfaction are the top priorities for Deutsche Hospitality,” said Thomas Willms, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. “We are therefore extremely pleased that so many of our hotels have received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence this year.”
